St Michael’s School is a single stream co-educational parish school with an enrolment of approximately 240 students from Kindy to Yr 6. The school was established in 1914 by the sisters of Mercy. St Michael’s is a multicultural community, consisting of children from many ethnic backgrounds. An integral part of the school is the St Joseph’s Centre, which provides for the specific needs of a variety of students.

2018 Dandjoo Koorliny Reconciliation Gathering
The students in Year 5 and 6 were treated to a morning of dance, song and storytelling from Nyoongar performers during the 2018 Dandjoo Koorliny Reconciliation Gathering held yesterday. Our students were invited to this free community event held by the Town of Bassendean in recognition of the significance of Nyoongar cultural links in the community. Some of the activities participated in included boomerang design and throwing, dreamtime storytelling through dance and drama and the sampling of some delicious food.
Interschool Cross Country
The Interschool Cross Country Carnival that was scheduled today has been postponed to Tuesday 28th May due to inclement weather. We wish our team every success as they run for their team and school.
Enrolments for Kindergarten 2019 will be finalised soon. If you have a child born between 1st July, 2014 and 30th June, 2015, please submit an application IMMEDIATELY. Application forms can be found on the school website, or you can drop by the office.
