If You Go Out To The B.I. Today…
Today the Pre-primary class walked down to the B.I. for a Teddy Bear’s Pajama Picnic. Miss G.C, Mrs Venosi, Mrs Schnell, Mr Powles and Mrs Saunders were delighted to be able to play games with the students and enjoy the sunshine.
Library Re-opening
Next week we are very excited to re-open the school Library for students to be able to borrow books again and take them home starting Tuesday 9 June. Our book return system will change slightly with students borrowing on Tuesdays but returning the following Monday. As books are returned, they will be cleaned with disinfectant before being re-distributed to other students or shelved. This isn’t necessary for books that students wish to borrow for a fortnight, only for books to be returned.
We are very grateful to Mrs Stenning and our wonderful volunteers who work to make this system happen so smoothly and to acknowledge the work that has been done behind the scenes during this closure. Our school Library will also be looking for parent volunteers in the coming weeks to assist with book covering. If you are able to help, please email Mrs Stenning at vicki.stenning@cewa.edu.au.
Lost Property
There has been a sharp increase in the quantity of lost property over the past few weeks, which is understandable considering parents have been unable to come on site to peruse the growing collection of jumpers and jackets. We would like to ask that all parents examine their child/ren’s jumpers and jackets to ensure that they are bringing home their own, clearly labelled uniform. This will greatly help with ensuring students have the correct clothing. In the coming weeks parents will be able to return on site to explore the lost property basket near the Uniform Shop for hidden treasures.
Thank you kindly for your assistance with this.
