Year 4 First Eucharist Retreat

On Monday, our First Holy Communion candidates participated in their retreat activities led by 24:7 Youth Ministry. Mr Caddy and the students enjoyed a wonderful faith-filled day full of conversations and activities designed to explore the themes of becoming one with God through receiving communion. Energised by a shared lunch, the students thoroughly enjoyed their day as part of their sacramental preparations for their ceremony. We wish all of our First Eucharist candidates the very best for their second initiation Sacrament this Sunday August 9 at St Joseph’s Parish Church at 10:30am.

Waste Education Incursion

The Year 1-6 students engaged in a sustainability education initiative this week facilitated by Suez. The workshop topic “From Rubbish to Resource” unpacked the many strategies and tips for effective sorting, reducing, recycling and re-using of everyday household materials. This incursion supports the cross-curriculum priority of sustainability education, designed to support students to develop the knowledge, skills, values and world views necessary for people to act in ways that contribute to a more sustainable pattern of living
