Message from the Principal – Newsletter 21
Dear Parents and Caregivers
We have had a lovely start to Term 3 and it has been great to be back and feel part of the St. Michael’s family once again! Thank you for all your welcome back messages! Thank you once again to Mr Ryan Powles for the wonderful job he did as acting Principal during a time that none of us could have ever predicted or imagined! And thank you to Mrs Jemima Saunders for so ably supporting Ryan. How blessed we are to have such a terrific leadership team and their experience last term was certainly that of agile leadership in action! We warmly welcome two new staff members to our community, Mrs Renee Vassiliou and Mrs Rochelle Albert, our new art and music specialists respectively. We know you will do your utmost to make them feel at home and we are excited to have them on our team!
Parent Teacher Interviews
Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic hit in the middle of our usual parent/teacher interviews. Some parents were able to hold their meetings over the phone, however, we are cognisant that others missed out. We encourage any parents who missed out on an interview, to contact their child’s classroom teacher as soon as possible to arrange an appointment to discuss their child’s progress.
COVID-19 Update for Term 3
Please note that an email was sent to all parents today, updating you about the next iteration of our school social distancing and hygiene procedures, particularly about the pickup and drop off procedures commencing next week. If you did not receive this email, please contact reception to update your contact details on our system.
A reminder that cash can now be used at the canteen and uniform shop.
Sacraments
Please keep those students in your prayers who will be receiving the sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist for the first time over the coming weeks.
Term Calendar
A Term 3 calendar was made available via the Connected App at the end of last term. Some important dates to note include the following:

- P & F Fundraiser Night – 28 August
- Fathers’ Day Breakfast – 3 September

Wishing you all the best for a fabulous term!
God bless
Dr Siobhan Galos
