Message from the Principal – Newsletter 37
Dear Parents and Caregivers
We are getting closer and closer to the end of the year and have a busy couple of weeks ahead of us with swimming lessons next week and many upcoming events. This is often a very busy and stressful time of the year so we thank all members of our community for continuing to help us maintain a joyous spirit and a Catholic ethos around the school by engaging respectfully with each other and with staff.
Please keep the Year 6 students and families in your prayers as they experience many important milestone events over the next two weeks and prepare to leave our community and graduate to secondary school! Best of luck to the Year 6 students for their dance on Wednesday night!
End of Semester Reports
Teachers have been busy preparing end of semester reports. A reminder that these will be available on SEQTA on Monday 7 December and parents are welcome to make an appointment to meet with their child’s teacher from 8 – 10 December if they would like to discuss their child’s report.
Swimming Lessons
A reminder that swimming lessons are scheduled for next week. Please send your child to school in their bathers and sports uniform each day with their towel and googles etc.
Awards Night and Edudance Concert
A reminder that, due to COVID-19 social distancing requirements, we have had to modify the structure of the Awards Night and Edudance Concert (Monday 7 December).
To minimise the number of people attending the event at any given time, the evening will be conducted in two sessions:
- K – 2 Edudance performances: 5.30 – 5.50pm
Intermission
- Awards night, Choir and Years 3 – 6 Edudance performances: 6pm
Unless you have students performing in both sessions, families will be asked to only attend the session that their child/ren is/are involved in. Please refer to the letter posted by Ryan Powles explaining all the details.
